Entering her workshop took me out of the day to day routine. I felt as curious as Alice in Wonderland as to what would happen next! Donna’s meditation and creative sculpting activity immersed me completely and I really lost all connection with the passage of time. Playing and molding the clay really got me in touch with my muse as idea after idea took shape. There was no way to fail or mess up! I would love the chance to explore the expressive arts under Donna’s wing anytime!

Donna brings together individuals and as she takes us through her workshop vision through her use of art, music, drumming, dancing, eating and creating safe space for sharing precious snippets of ourselves; all while together we physically create art. Magic happens. Dull sharpens and creativity blossoms. Donna’s mediums are music, paint, affirmation and acceptance. Wisdom is found in these groups. I always leave more fully alive and filled up like I just had a wonderful meal.
As the workshop coordinator for Cowichan South Arts Guild, I felt fortunate to have someone as accomplished as Donna to lead one of our Sampler Series workshops, ‘Creating a Personal Taliswoman’. Donna was very well organized and prepared greeting all the participants as they arrived. She started the session by leading the group through several ‘excercises’ to loosen us all up and build community (and get us all smiling and laughing). She provided many different materials to inspire creativity and for the participants to choose from to design their own unique Taliswoman and we all left feeling happy, contented and inspired. CSAG is looking forward to booking Donna for more workshops in the future!!
